Technique

Begin in a crouched or standing sprint start. Explode out of the start, driving your knees and pumping your arms. Maintain maximum speed and efficient mechanics through the finish line.

Starting Position

Crouched or standing at the starting line, feet staggered, weight forward, arms ready to drive.

Finishing Position

Cross the finish line upright, decelerating gradually, with arms and legs relaxed.

Form Cues

Explode out of the start, drive your knees, pump your arms, keep your core tight, push off the balls of your feet

Common Mistakes

Slow reaction at the start, poor arm drive, overstriding, upright posture too early, holding breath

Progression Tips

Add resistance sprints, increase sprint distance, perform block starts for technique.

Regression Tips

Reduce sprint distance, alternate sprinting with walking, focus on technique at lower intensity.
