Technique

Perform a series of fundamental movement patterns including squat, hinge, lunge, push, pull, and gait assessments. Each movement is scored based on quality, range of motion, and compensatory patterns. The screen identifies asymmetries and movement limitations.

Starting Position

Begin in a neutral standing position with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at sides, and natural spinal alignment.

Finishing Position

Complete all movement patterns and return to the starting position for assessment scoring.

Form Cues

Move slowly and deliberately, maintain natural breathing, avoid compensation patterns, focus on quality over quantity

Common Mistakes

Rushing through movements, compensating for limitations, poor breathing patterns, ignoring asymmetries, inadequate warm-up

Progression Tips

Address identified limitations with specific corrective exercises, retest regularly, gradually increase movement complexity

Regression Tips

Modify movements for pain or limitations, use assistance for balance, reduce range of motion as needed

Safety Notes

Stop any movement that causes pain. Perform adequate warm-up before screening. Consult healthcare provider for existing injuries or conditions.
