Technique

Stand with feet shoulder-width apart. Lift one leg and sweep it in a controlled arc from front to back while maintaining balance on the standing leg. Keep the movement smooth and controlled throughout the range of motion.

Starting Position

Begin standing with feet shoulder-width apart, arms at your sides for balance, and core engaged to maintain stability.

Finishing Position

Return to the starting position with both feet planted firmly on the ground, maintaining good posture and balance.

Form Cues

Keep your core engaged, maintain balance on standing leg, sweep leg in controlled arc, keep movement smooth

Common Mistakes

Losing balance, rushing the movement, not maintaining core engagement, allowing the standing knee to buckle

Progression Tips

Add arm movements, increase range of motion, perform on unstable surface, or add resistance bands.

Regression Tips

Hold onto a wall or chair for support, reduce the range of motion, or perform seated leg sweeps.

Safety Notes

Stop if you experience pain in the hip, knee, or lower back. Ensure proper balance and avoid overextending the range of motion.
